"Hi everyone, I am Nancy Haynes. I have been a guider for about 16 years and have found my element in Trex. I love camping and all outdoor activities, so this unit was made for me! My favorite activities include kayaking, cycling and skiing, but I love to do almost everything else. West Coast Area is a great place to live - the wilderness is close and accessible, and there are many experienced outfitters for activities like paint ball, riflery, climbing, horseback riding, canoeing, swordfighting, circus school... the list goes on. I am also a member of the West Coast Area Camp Committee and the BC Provincial International Committee. If anyone is excited about doing an International Trex trip, let me know!"
"I am a Guider with the Trex and 6th Pathfinder Unit in Vancouver. My favourite activities outdoors are backcountry skiing and kayaking. I travel a lot for work, but when I get the chance, I facilitate adventure trips with Trex such as snowshoeing and hiking in backcountry areas. This past summer, we went to Garibaldi Lake and it was beautiful. The group hopes to return again to do some of the longer hikes!"
"Hi! I'm Tara, and I've been in Guiding since I was six years old. Some of my favourite memories from Guiding involve the many camps and activities I got to do - that's why I love being a Trex leader, and being able to create a similar experience for you guys! My favourite activities include kayaking, hiking, and climbing, though I've also enjoyed a lot of other things through Trex, such as swordfighting and paintball (to name a couple). I'm looking forward to another year of adventure!"
"My name is Rachel and I have been a member of Guiding for over 20 years. I was in Trex myself as a girl! I loved Trex because it helped me discovered my passion for cycle-touring, and I got to try new adventures such as snow camping and week-long hiking and paddling trips. I love scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, and hiking and I hope that I can improve my skiing and outdoor rock climbing skills now that I live closer to the mountains!"
